Membership
Why should you become a member?
Because the Club is devoted to the Barbet.
As a breeder or owner of a Barbet or Barbets, the Club:
• Gives you the opportunity to liaise with the Barbet community.
• Assists or supports you in various approaches related to the breed.
• Gives you information on the breed, advice on education, health, grooming and answers your questions.
• Helps you to register to the events of the Canadian Kennel Club.
• Organizes gatherings, seminars, activities,...
• Publishes and sends electronically to its members, two times a year, a bulletin dealing with various topics.
• Offers to its members a reserved section on the internet site which gives you access to all the information you may need.
Breeders members
Any Barbet breeder wishing to become a member of the Club shall:
• Be an owner or co-owner of Barbets.
• Sign and conform to the Code of ethics of the Club Barbet Canada.
• Have a registered kennel name with the Canadian Kennel Club.
• Be a member of the Canadian Kennel Club.
• Engage in following the Code of practices of the Canadian Kennel Club.
• Conform to the General regulations of the Club Barbet Canada.
Friends members
The friends members shall be owners of a Barbet and/ or have at heart the interest of the Barbets and wish to help the breed. They have to conform to the General regulations of the Club Barbet Canada.
To become a member
The membership is based on a period of one year between October 1st and September 30 of the following year.
The application form shall be filled, signed and sent to the Club Barbet Canada by mail. The request shall be sent with the cash payment or a check for the membership fee corresponding to the chosen member category.
The annual membership fees are:
• Breeder member: $30
• Friend member: $15
Renewal
The renewal is done automatically. You will receive an electronic mail which will remind you to send us the payment of the membership fees.
The payment can be done by cash or by check to the name of Club Barbet Canada and shall be sent to this address:
